Nokia N9 MeeGo Smartphone Price and Specification
Nokia’s new N9 Smartphone that gets all the power of the new MeeGo OS has gotten an official release date, the announcement was made by Nokia Russia for the Russian Market. The Nokia N9 MeeGo will start selling in Russia on August 19th, 2011 for the price of approximately $686.
The Nokia N9 comes with a bundle of noteworthy specifications which includes a body that was constructed using a single piece of polycarbonate which gives the smartphone superior antenna performance thus delivering a much better voice quality during conversations, better reception and a lot less drop calls. The handset gets a 3.9-inch AMOLED Touchscreen display, there will be two versions available: a 16GB model and a 64GB model, it comes with an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and a super wide 28mm Carl Zeiss lens, it features Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and GPS Navigation.
The N9 is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 Processor, its graphics are controlled by a PowerVR SGX530 GPU and it gets 1GB of RAM. It runs the Linux-based MeeGo operating system which is based on MeeGo1.2 (Harmattan) where all the navigation in the UI is done using swipe based gestures, it supports HTML5 for the web and has social networking applications pre-installed.
