Photography allows us to come close to what we most fear, to know it, understand it and respect it. It gives voice to our curiosity for the things of the world. The portraits of albinos celebrate a different kind of beauty and eliminate the stigma sometimes associated with difference. Their pale and delicate looks and their condition as a “minority” reflects like a mirror my idea of sublime beauty. It is a story of the fight between silence and passion, pleasure and pain.
